About Us
Bleeding Blues is a youth-led organisation relentlessly working towards achieving menstrual equity since March 2020. Our mission is to ensure accessibility of menstrual hygiene products, menstrual waste management, and WASH facilities for everyone—especially those in remote and rural areas.
We collaborate with Gram Panchayats, local authorities, and community groups to promote menstrual health awareness through workshops and campaigns conducted in local languages for all age groups. Our initiatives include:
- Pad Distribution Drives – ensuring accessibility of period care products
- Period Literacy Programs – conducting menstrual health & hygiene awareness sessions
- Research Initiatives – focused on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)
- Menstrual Waste Management and sustainable menstruation advocacy
- Legal Aid and Awareness related to menstrual and gender health rights
Over the years, our efforts have transformed lives across Bihar, Delhi, and Visakhapatnam. We have been recognized as changemakers by multiple national and regional media outlets including BBC Hindi, The Logical Indian, Hindustan, Patna Beats, and The Tribune.
Guided by our founder, Neha Singh — Advocate at the Supreme Court of India and PhD Scholar at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad — Bleeding Blues brings together grassroots activism, legal advocacy, and policy research to create systemic impact. Through our collaborations with organizations like Kamakhya India, Think India Bihar, Project Vedana, and the National Commission for Women , we continue to push forward a vision of dignity, accessibility, and equality for all menstruators.
Join us in our journey to create a world where menstruation is no longer a barrier — but a symbol of strength, awareness, and equality.
